sphincter of oddi disease

Looking for anyone who has had problems with sphincter of oddi disease, especially anyone who has had surgery to fix the problem. Hard to  find many people with this diagnosis and would love to get some more info.

Hey there,
I am told I have oddi dysfunction.  I am having an ERCP in 1 month to be certain.  I also have chronic pancreatitis.  I am also frightened about what this means to me and my life.  Have you had an ERCP yet?  I hear this testing is the difinative test for it.

HI,
I was suprised to get your post, I've never talked with anyone who had this. I have had several ERCPs, and I have to go in for another one this Friday. My story is a really long one, but not typical. I will tell you that ERCPs are the best test for diagnosing SOD, but it doesn't always work that way. I had my first ERCP with a bad doctor who didn't even copmlete the test and then told me that there was nothing wrong. It took me another year after that to get another doctor to do the test again, this time it was positive. Does your ERCP include mannometry, where they measure the pressure of the bile ducts?
