It is now wednesday. On monday afternoon I lost my apetite I developed and still have a case of diarehia. When ever I move
my bowels it is totaly liquified. Not to mention now that it
sounds as if a war is going on inside my stomach along with the discomfort that I have been feeling. This morning I woke up and the loud bubling, gurgling noises that were radiating from my stomach were gone. I ate some oatmeal because I thought it might
be safe.  WRONG!!!! the condition seems to have returned but I'm
not moving my bowels nearly as much as I was yesterday. Do you think this is a serious matter or can I follow the guidelines I read about for treating stomach Flu on my own.

Dear Ernestd,
Most gastrointestinal symptoms of nausea, diarrhea and even abdominal pain are infectious in origin and relatively brief in duration, although for the person suffering, the duration of symptoms seems interminable.  If you are still symptomatic, then you should see a doctor for investigatrion.
