toradol and gastritis

hello. i am having a uterine fibroid embolization procedure.  the docs tell me it is very painful. i am offered either narcotics or toradol.  i would like to take the toradol but i have gastritis, mild diverticulitis, and acid reflux.   could you tell me if it would be safe to take this ?? i am worried about bleeding in my stomach and/or intestines.

Toradol is an NSAID and does have the potential to irritate the stomach in the setting of gastritis.  There indeed would be an increased risk of a bleed.

This needs to be taken into consideration and discussed with your physician when deciding which pain medication to take.
