ultrasound

My husband is 43 yrs old, doesnt drink at all now, only midly as a teenager, and never took drugs. Last week he had blood tests done and after a Dr visit yesterday was told to have a ultrasound done.  He was only told that he had enzymes.  What exactly does this mean.  And what will the ultrasound show.  What does all this mean? Is this serious?

You need more information from your doctor.

Everyone has enzymes.....maybe you mean his enzymes are out of the normal range. (High liver enzymes?)

Be sure to ask the doctor what he/she FINDS on the ultrasound.
Examples:
enlarged liver?
shrunken liver?
enlarged spleen?
gallstones?

Ask for details.
