Intestinal metaplasia is a common biopsy result.  This implies a reversible change of the cell due to an environmental insult.  In most cases this is due to H Pylori, but is negative in this case.  Other causes can include bile acid reflus as well.

There is no evidence of ulcers and cancer - in all, the biopsy does not show any acude disease.

As for other causes, the aforementioned bile acid reflux is possible.  For bloating and gas, you may want to investigate the liver and gallbladder with an abdominal ultrasound, or consider a gastric emptying scan looking for gastroparesis.

These options can be discussed with your personal physician.

Followup with your personal physician is essential.

i have been having acid reflux for a while and i am scheduled for an endoscopy next week but i have been having this uncomfortable (not painful) feeling right under my sternum (like something is stuck).  this mostly happens at night right before dinner. i am not sure if this is stomach related or stress over my symptoms.
