weight loss with pbc

Dear sirs. My wife has had pbc for about 8 years.She is now on the drug urso and the jaundice has almost disappeared but I am very concerned about the weight loss that she is experiencing. Is it possible that the drug itself is bringing about this weight loss, also could she take cod liver oil? I have yet to get a decisive answer to this question.
