___________
Dear gene,/
A hepatic hemangioma is an abnormal collection of blood vessels located in the liver.  Usually hepatic hemangiomas do not cause any symptoms.  They are incidental findings identified during the workup for another problem. Because there is often nothing unique regarding the x-ray picture, several x-ray studies are required before the diagnosis of hepatic hemangiomas can be made.  Hepatic nemangiomas do not require treatment unless they are large or bleed.
