whats wrong?

  hi,
  my boyfriend was admitted to the hospital here with bad stomach
  pains.they have done blood tests-white cell count is fine,cat scan
  for his stomach -nothing,x'ray nothing,they took a look down his
  throat to see his insides - nothing,ultra sound - nothing.at first
   they thought it was gastro, then an ulcer then apendisitis not ne of these
  any of these so they released him with the pain still.

Dear Kim,
There are many possible causes for abdominal pain.  Reading your posting it is evident that the docs did a complete evaluation.  One of the diagnoses that can be difficult to make is pancreatic-induced pain.  A normal CT scan does not alwys exclude pancreatic disease.  The best approach is to have a physician restart the evaluation after obtaining a detailed history and physicial examination.
