urgent is this normal

my mother-in-law went to hospital with fever couldn't walk dioriented confused ( more than she already was) they said did a ct on her abdoman said her gallbladder looked inflamed... did surgery took it out said she needed a blood tranfusion this was on saturday the 11-1-08 now they say she needs another transfusion because she is bleeding in her abdoman from the surgery and the surgeon said its normal and will stop on its own so they won't be going back in......is this normal?

This sounds urgent perhaps you should see if you can speak to him and ask him, why or better still get another opinion if you can, Hope shes okay soon
