I believe i have cirrhosis from years of drinking although
at this time my doctor is unable to confirm this.
I get severe dry mouth especially at night in bed. Nothing
helps it. If you have a liver problem why do you get severe
dry mouth. I thought your body retains water. Also with
cirrhosis is coffee and soda bad to drink. Whats the best thing
to drink. I drink alot of coffee and soda and its seems to
have worsened my condition. Is it the caffeine.

There are many reasons other than liver disease why a dry mouth can occur.  This can include mouth breathing, dehydration, medication side effects, or rheumatologic disease.  I do not know the specific mechanism of how or why liver disease can lead to a dry mouth.

I am not aware of soda or coffee leading to cirrhosis.

I would discuss this with your personal physician.

Followup with your personal physician is essential.
