Causes of a prominent cricopharyngeus?
I have a 34 yr old male and I had a globus sensation in my throat, at the bottom of my neck area. I had a double contrast upper GI done and the report said I have a tiny outpouch in the proximal posterior esophagus which represents a prominent cricopharyngeus along with mild gastric reflux. . What causes the prominent cricopharyngeus in the first place? Is this a risk factor for anything like cancer?
