Esophageal manometry

I went for an Esophageal manometry yesterday and was also scheduled to get the 24 hr pH and bile reflux monitor. I couldnt do it! I choked, almost threw up and was really scared by the whole thing. Im so disappointed as i have been suffering now for almost two years and have had no luck in getting to the bottom of this, i felt this was my last chance. Do anyone know if there is any other way of doing these tests????????? Symptoms are trouble swallowing, trouble breathing to the point that sometimes i actually feel like i cant, but i can? and the occasional pains in my chest through to my back.
