24 Hour Urine Test

by James__0, Aug 31, 1998 12:00AM

A few years ago, I took a test which involved collecting my
urine over a 24 hour period. Before I got the results, I had to
leave the country, and never did get around to finding out what
showed up. I have a couple of questions. What was the procedure intended
to test for? Could I still get the results if in fact something
abnormal was found even after so much time has passed?
(I think that something showed up). Should I retake the test?

Dear James,
Twenty four hour urine collections are done for a number of different reasons.  If you are not having any medical problems at this time, it is probably not necessary to follow-up on this study.
