Difficult to speculate over the internet. "Lesion" can mean many things - including a cyst, mass, infection etc. The MRI is the appropriate next step.
The effects of MRI on pregnancy are not known. Here is a disclaimer from an informed consent form:

However, because MRI imaging is so new, my doctors CANNOT EXCLUDE the possibility that there may be short term or long term hazards. In other words, the doctors do not know whether my MRI study could damage me or my baby."
