2nd Nissan Fundoplication
Hi,
I have GERD and had a Nissan
Fundoplication
Hiatal hernia repair
back in '94. Two years ago I began having significant problems. I again have
esophageal
Esophageal atresia
Esophageal cancer
Esophageal culture
Esophageal perforation
Esophageal tissue culture
Gastroesophageal reflux disease
Gastroesophageal reflux in infants
Tracheoesophageal fistula repair - series
ulcers, barrets, and chronic gastritis. They are considering re-doing the Nissan. While the surgery was difficult and a long
recovery
Recovery position - series
it did solve my issues, I am unable to take proton pump
inhibitors
Alpha-glucosidase inhibitors
so this would be my only option to live pain free. I have also been told that the ulcers are causing significant damage to my
esophagus
Barrett’s esophagus
Esophageal cancer
Esophageal perforation
Esophagus and stomach anatomy
Esophagitis
Esophagus
.
I was wondering if anyone else had had this surgery done twice and if so how successful was it?
