4 yr old w/ Anterior diplaced anus

by Charlote-Yust, Jan 08, 1999 12:00AM

My 4 year old daughter stopped having bowel movements on her own
2 months after I stopped breastfeeding her at the age of 21/2.
After 2 years, 6 doctors and many invasive enema's etc. later
she has finally been diagnosed with having an anterior
displaced anus. She can only defecate in a standing position. Is
there a way to teach her to poop eventually over a toilet? Do you
know of any support groups of children who have this?
Do I have alternatives? In order to be an advocate for my child
I must find some sources so I can be educated about this. Please
   help me.
