7 days treatment

by mitsos, Sep 06, 2001 12:00AM
After so many tests they finally found the problem which was
ulser and bacteria infection. I was put on a 7 day drug treatment
and I was told that there is no need for a special diet. Is this
true? And the 7 day treatment will it work?

The current theory is that ulcers are caused by a bacteria - either campylobacter or helicobacter, I can't remember which. You should combine your drug treatment with a sensible diet which avoids obvious stomach irritants such as coffee, chocolate, spicy foods, etc. Also eat smaller meals more often so the stomach isn't overworked.
