when she swallows and I can visibly she her swallow hard. Has some anxiety since she was little so ped recommended pyschologist which seems to be helping a little bit but still feeling the bubble sensation. Also was concerned about choking and dying. Have appts for GI and ENT
This is typical with acid refux, and it can take a bit longer for the medication to work. If the medication doesn't help within the next two weeks, I would ask to try another one. It is also seen with anxiety, you're doing the right thing with seeing a psychologist. Just keep reassuring your daughter that it is a "bubble" from her tummy that is making her feel this way, and there is no way she will choke or die. Remind her of how easily bubbles break and go away. I think this is adding to her anxiety which in the end may have started with the reflux
