8 yrs of age. constant nausea and chronic bad breath

   I have a daughter that is 8 years old. 3 years ago she started to experience nuasea. It would come and go and we just thought that maybe heavy meals caused the problem. In the past year the nausea has increased along with chronic bad breath. We have been to the dentist and he has cleared us of any dental issues. This past month has been awful. She is nauseas 24 hrs a day and has horrible breath. Our doctor does not seem concerned and is telling us the cause is stress. My 8 year old daughter does not have a lot of stress in her life. At my third visit to the doctor I insisted on getting blood work done. We are still waiting for results. I am extremely frustrated with our doctor and am currently, against her advise, looking for a gastro specialist. Any idea what this may be?
     Constant nausea, bad breath, no pain, no vomiting.

Well, the first thouht is - something in the gaster (stomach). Chronic infection with H. pylori may cause nausea and bad breath. The breath test is a simple, non-invasive way to diagnose this. If she's otherwise healthy, expect the blood test to be negative.

If the H. pylori test will be negative, she would need gastroscopy, but first get the breath test.

Insist on a breath test.
