ABDOMINAL PAIN AND DIARRHEA

ON AND OFF FOR SEVERAL YEARS, I HAVE HAD ABDOMINAL PROBLEMS. DX WITH H.PYLORI 2007 AND FAMILY HX OF IBS. HOWEVER, FOR THE PAST FOUR WEEKS, I HAVE HAD DIARRHEA WITH LOWER ABDOMINAL PAIN. THE PAIN IS SEVERE AT TIMES. I WENT TO THE MD. BLOOD RESULTS SHOWED NO INCREASE IN WBC'S. MD DX WAS A VIRUS. I WAS GIVEN PARAGORIC ACID FOR THE PAIN. I DID HAVE A LOW GRADE FEVER. 24 HOURS LATER, NO RELIEF. I TOOK CIPRO (THAT I HAD LEFT FROM A PREVIOUS UTI) FOR THREE DAYS. I FELT MUCH BETTER FOR A WEEK. NOW IT IS BACK. ANY SUGGESTIONS?
