. Over the last several years, I have managed my diet, stayed away from the fats, but still suffer occasional attacks. In January of 2009, I visited the ER once again with very bad pains. My gastroeneteroligist ordered an MRI, endoscope, and a colonoscopy. All negative. I also was prescribed a med that thinned my bile for 2 months. I still have these attacks, usually the same night I eat a fatty dish. It sometimes happens between 2 and 3 in the morning while I am sleeping.
