I have had frequent abdominal pain over the past 10 years. The stomach pain generally follows eating
fattyXanthoma foods, red meat, etc... I've have had numerous tests Upper GI, Lower GI everything checks OK. Sometimes a combination of stress and the above foods can cause sever abdominal pain. I'm not depressed, generally an "up" person, in relatively good health. Stress management has been suggested, but I believe there is more to the problem then this. If I have a bad attack the only solution I have found is don't eat for several days. I've tried some dietary suppliments (

Ginger root) and though helpful it not a solution. When a problem occurs, I have a persistant throbbing in either the upper part of my stomach or small intestine. The

The upper and lower Gi studies have excluded structural problems of stomach, duodenum and colon as the cause of your pain. Depending on the site of pain and your previous medical history, one must also consider pancreatic disease, gall bladder problems, insufficient blood flow to the intestine and impaired gastrointestinal motility as possible causes. A detailed history is needed in order to detemine which of these possibilities should be considered
