Abdominal cramps and stomach pains

I've been having these terrible cramps and stomach pains for the past month off and on, some nausea, frequent stool evacuations, and lower chest pains.  Also my heart seems to have a flutter as well.  After each stool evacuation, I would feel better for a time until I would have to go again.  I'm also lightheaded while these episodes are occurring.  Anybody have any ideas what this sounds like?  I always feel like I have to go to the bathroom at the start of each of these episodes.  Thanks for any advice that you can share....Bob

When I have bowel movements that are loose I go quite a bit.  Is lightheadedness associated with IBS and can heart flutters be associated with IBS.  One reason that I doubt IBS as the problem is this has lasted over a month or so fairly consistently and previously this has just gone on for a week at a time at the most on probably 5 or so different occasions.  This is something I will be taking up with a gastroenterologist in the near future.  I have a 24 Holter monitor scheduled for this week, but I'm not counting on anything being found.  I have had many tests done ekg's, blood work, etc, I have never seen a gastroenterologist so that's the next logical step.  Thanks Lizzie Lou for your input.

ASIDE FROM THE HEART THING, SOUNDS LIKE IBS TO ME.  DURING THESE EPISODES, ARE YOU CONSTANTLY GOING TO THE BATHROOM...LIKE SHORTLY AFTER YOU GO YOU HAVE TO GO AGAIN?  JUST HAVING THE FEELING THAT YOU HAVE TO GO ALL THE TIME?

Sadly, nobody can diagnose you on an internet message board, but since your symptoms have been present for several weeks, you really need to see a doctor.  Please don't wait.  Any major bowel changes call for an examination by a medical professional. You only have one body, so get advice from the appropriate people.  I really wish I could help you, as I truly understand how awful "gut" problems can be.  :-)
