Abdominal pain and vomiting

Hello.. I posted my question earlier in Women's health by mistake...I would like some of you opinions while I wait for my doctor's appointment.

3 out of the last 4 nights, I have woken up in the middle of the night to EXTREME abdominal pain which lasted about an hour each time, followed by sweating, vomiting (including blood), and sharp pain in the neck. The pain was mostly in my upper abdominal area. I don't know what to make of it. I have never had this happen before. I find that in the last few weeks I have a loss of appetite, and when I do eat, it's about half the portion I normally eat.

So any opinions as to what this could be? I've been told by different people, possibly indigestion or stomach ulcer, ruptured cyst..

My guess would be gallstones, and yes, it could be any number of things.  Hope you got in to see your doc by now, and check back in when you can.  Good luck getting to the bottom of it soonest!

Thanks for replying, I appreciate it. I am currently waiting for the Dr.'s secretary to call me to see when she can squeeze me in...

Do you have an idea of what it could be? Or it could really be a number of things...
