Abdominal pain

Hello,

I've been having some stomach issues and I'm not sure what's going on. So here's my medical history...about three weeks ago I woke up with stomach pain. The pain was sharp and lasted for all day. by time I made it to the doctors that day the pain subsided. I also went to the doc for a lump on my inner left buttock. The doc prescribed my antibiotics and ranitidine. I took the antibiotics and the lump/bump went away, but I never took the ranitidine. About one week ago, I drank some beer and as I drank the beer my stomach started hurting, but I kept drinking (a lot). The next day my stomach started hurting bad! I had a sharp pain and super nauseous. I had a bowel movement (diarrhea) and my stomach feel better. The next day my stomach felt better but I wasn't 100% I still had pain and a bloated feeling so I took some Rantidine and that help me sleep with no pain at night. Its been a week now and my appetite has not fully returned and I get full really fast. Today my stomach started hurting just a little bit but stopped. Went I have a bowel movement my stomach feels better, but my appetite is lacking (no weight lost). Earlier this year, I had an annual exam and everything was normal (I haven't my hiv test yet). My stomach makes rumbling noises and I have all the time even when there is nothing really to pee. My bladder just wants to go all the time. (Its been like this this week) My stomach has been having a burning sensation and I've had some heart burn today. I've been severely depressed and full of anxiety for the past two years (I don't take medicine for it). Can anyone explain my stomach condition?

I don't think that could cause gastritis but it might well irritate it if you have inflamation present. Hope the doctors appointment goes well and they refer you for some tests. Ant acids are very helpful with controlling pain and treating symptoms but I think we should have an endoscope before just being prescribed ant acids such as omeprazole or ranitidine.

Good morning,

I wanted to point out that my doc prescribed me Bactrium DC because I had a lump/bump on my butt cheek. I finished bottle. Also the day I stomach started hurting I drank a lot of beer ( I'm not normally a beer drinker). I wonder if the combination of that medicine and beer caused the gastritis? I'm making appt today

Firstly just to clarify diarrhoea, it would be very loose / watery, sounds like you're just going more often, like you say regular. keeping an eye on the colour is something doctors recommend too.
As for what's going on in your stomach you could have a bit of gastritis ( inflamation of the stomach lining) it can be caused by a bacteria called Helicobacter Pylori and treated with two types of antibiotics together with an ant acid. Your doctor can send you for a breath test to see if you have the bacteria present. The ranitidine help with the indigestion and burning by controlling acid production. I suggest a visit to your gp , ask if you can have the breath test or even an endoscopy . There are other causes of gastritis too but you firstly need to see your gp for advice and explain your ongoing symptoms. Let's know how you get on.

Also can someone please define diarrhea? I had loose stool once during my stomach issues. Now I'm going everyday it's not loose or soft just regular. I usual go every other day so do I have diarrhea since I'll going daily? It does not feel like diarrhea but I'm going more than usual.
