Abdominal ultrasound
Hi  I just had an abdominal ultrasound done today regarding some mild chronic abdominal pain. I noticed the ultrasound tech taking more images on my the right side of abdomen and flank area compared to the left side and flank and mid-abdominal area. Is this normal. I feel as if she probably saw something unusual on the right side, which is why she appeared to focus more. Or is it perhaps there are more organs or larger organs to view on that side? She did not make any comments or appeared concerned nor did I ask her any questions regarding what she may have seen, since I am aware they cannot interpret findings. Any insight will be appreciated thanks.

Mike, they typically take more images toward the right side trying to get a good look at the gallbladder, common bile duct, kidney etc. Those views can be tricky. It's normal.
