Abnormal bowel movements

by Linda502, Sep 16, 2009 05:35PM
I normally have one bowel movement/day and am very regular.  One week ago, I experienced a bout of diarrhea that lasted one day.  Since then, I have been having more frequent bowel movements - 2 - 3/day.  They are mostly normal looking, just smaller and more frequent.  I had a very normal bowel movement this morning, then this evening I had a very loose BM.  Should I be concerned?  Is it unusual for this kind of disorder to go on for a week?  I should add that I was taking 40 mg of Prozac daily and I stopped taking the medication just before this started.  Could prozac withdrawal be causing this?

Yes, this could be part of the withdrawal.
