Can acid reflux symptoms be a sign of something else, such as cancer? How can this be determined without an invasive procedure? The problem I am having is because I have been diagnosed with severe acid reflux, all doctors assume that my problems are all acid reflux-related. I am concerned about being misdiagnosed.

A Panendoscopy is not considered an invasive procedure. You are sedated and usually have no memory of the procedure. This procedure will rule out any cancer.

Dr. Erik, I'm pretty sure an endoscopy is considered "minimally invasive", but invasive nonetheless. However, as you suggested, it is relatively easy for the patient if done the right way (plenty of sedation). It would seem the right choice for someone with acid reflux who's worried about a missed cancer diagnosis.
