Acids, Tongue Burning, Nauseated, Headaches, All medical testings.

My body produces too much acid. I burn from the stomach area all the way into my mouth. I feel nauseated all the time but I do not throw-up. My head hurts. Is there a test or could a biopsy be preformed to check for bacteria's in my system? Could my gall bladder be causing some of this problem? I had to have the left side of my colon removed two years ago.

There are a number of tests that probably should be done to find out what is going on. Have you talked with your doc? If the doc thinks the problem is related to your stomach, you could consider having a blood test for H. pylori and a trial course of taking some acid suppression meds to see whether that's of help. If more needs to be done, you might ask for an upper endoscopy to check the lining of the esophagus, the stomach and the duodenum.

If your gallbladder is considered a possible problem, you should have a gall bladder ultrasound and HIDA scan with CCK injection.

But the tests will depend on what the doc thinks the problem might be.
