Additional comment re Black Tongue phenomena

My daughter has a black tongue which has occurred from the time she returned from a holiday in the Dominican Republic two years ago. She notices it occurs once in awhile, and connects it to happening when her immune system is low. I think this should be more wisely investigated. Does anyone have any answers? It should be noted that while in the Dominicans, she had acquired a "flu" that caused high fever and hallucinations. I feel it may be parasite-related. Has anyone had anything similar?

What about mosquito bites? Ask the doctor to check for viral meningitis,, I know sound weird to tell you that but I heard about a case like this (very high fever, hallucinations),, I didn't hear the person to mention black tongue. They were kids that went vacation this summer. Also, the doctor should be able to exam the tongue and notice the difference in color as it tells something is going on. Even the dentist could tell, usually they do exam the tongue during dental check up. Do whatever you can. Just a suggestion.
