I had my gallbladder removed laprascopically in Dec 09. I didn't seem to get the "Classic" attacks, more of a constant pain/ache and inflammation. My gallbladder was very inflamed when they removed it.
Since then I have had pain in my upper abdomen which is getting worse.
I have had all the usuall tests done, ct, mri, endescope....etc. All showed normal.
My bloods have showed in the past few time my liver enzymes are slightly high and my white blood count is slightly high, also some level of inflammation.
I have been trialling local anaesthetic injections around the epigastric site scar with the pain management team at my hospital, but so far this hasn't been very effective.
My question is.....is it possible that Adhesions/scar tissue could be the cause of my pain???? I do test positive to the carnetts sign.....hence the thought that it's abdominal wall pain syndrome, but I have noticed deep pain just under my right ribs
is frequently really dark (like apple juice) no matter how much water I drink.
What are your thoughts???? I would really just like an answer to the puzzle, as I am at the point of going back to the surgeons for exploratory surgery......
