I have always had very active bowels, but now my bowel movements are very infrequent. The past two months have been pure hell. The pain is located on the right side below my

So far, I have had blood tests, a lower GI and a CT Scan. When it first started I was diagnosed with having a UTI. Then when it got really bad (two months ago), I had another UTI. Two weeks ago, the doctor said I had another UTI. I have taken antibiotics for each UTI. Prior to this year, I have had a total of 3 UTI in my entire lifetime. Also, I had my gallbladder removed 3-4 years ago. I had an enlarged Gallbladder and gallstones. Could any of this be related to my current problems? Also, my doctor says that if there was any problem(s) that it would show up in my blood tests. Is that true? I finally got an appointment with a specialist next week. I had gone to the emergency room and the doctor said that he could definitely see that there was something wrong. He recommended that I see a specialist. The only reason that I am seeing a specialist is because I informed my doctor what the emergency doctor told me. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

Dear Anita M,
In order to provide you with a list of possible explanations for your symptoms, I would need additional information regarding your age, previous medical history, current medications and the answers to other questions regarding your current symptoms. I think that it is appropriate to see a specialist. Change in bowel pattern, daily abdominal pain and fevers are usually indicative of a problem.
