Aerophagia?

Aerophagia?

Howdy,

I am a missionary, living in Mexico, and I had an interesting experience this spring.  I was at a college camp, as a staff worker, and, as the only white person in sight under 30, I was constantly being asked questions at meals, when I could interact with students, and eating very quickly as a result.  After several days of this, I got sick one morning.  I had a single instance of diahrrea and, at breakfast, I had a sudden bought of nausea and vomiting.  The rest of the morning, I felt off and my stomach felt very unsettled.  I went to the camp doctor and he diagnosed me with aerophagia.  Is this a reasonable diagnosis?

Thanks!

There are many possible causes from food allergy, food poisoning, GERD, gallbladder disease, etc.

One episode is hard to figure out.  Watch for patterns if it starts happening.  Record what foods seem to trigger it.
