Alchohol and diverticulosis

I have had several recent bouts with diverticulitis recently and started being more careful with my diet but have not been able to find out about alcohol consumption. Is it o.k. to drink? For example, several glasses of wine, beer, or mixed drinks?

I was diagnosed with Diverticulitis today and up until 10 days ago when I first got sick, I drank about 2 drinks a week. So...once I stop puking.....I will sacrifice myself *sigh* and put back a few to test if it helps or not and get back with ya!
