Alcohol § Severe Low Back Pain § Vomiting

by KellyGayle, Nov 22, 2001 12:00AM
Over the past year after drinking alcohol, even in moderation, i have severe lower back pain and stomach pain the entire next day (almost crippling).  Now there is severe vomiting associated with it (for an entire day).  I understand my body is saying - no alcohol EVER - but i don't know what the cause could be.

I would say that this sounds like something with your liver.  You should go to the doctor ASAP and have a scan done or whatever tests he deems necessary.  Above all, NO alcoholic beverages until you find out what the problem is and correct it!  Good luck!

Not to scare you but it might be Pancreatitis.  I would not drink any alcohol if I were you and would make an appointment with a Gastro specialist soon.  I hope you get to the bottom of what is causing your pain.  Take care and best of luck.
