I'm 19 and something weird has been happening to me for the last couple of months.
I used to be able to consume a large amount of alcohol with no problem and not getting drunk but since the last few months, anything I drink makes me want to puke, be it vodka, tequila, whisky, rum, etc. I can only drink if it's like REALLY diluted. That's kind of puzzling since I used to be the sip-from-the-bottle kind of guy. I never had any trouble drinking vodka straight from the bottle in the past.
The first gulp of any strong liquor mixed with little juice makes me want to puke, and the same thing happens to me sometimes when I smoke. I haven't been smoking
for that long, just around 2 years. But sometimes the first puff of smoke gets me nauseaous and makes me kind of want to barf!
Is there anything wrong with me? I only drink rarely nowadays but that condition just won't go away! It's kind of annoying to not be able to enjoy while among friends without having to resist puking after every gulp!
Well you could have IBD which will make you sick if you drink or smoke, or that could just be your bodies way of saying you shouldnt be doing that stuff.
I just googled IBD and ended up on the Crohn's disease. I still find it awkward that I didn't feel sick before while drinking/smoking. Is it possible that excessive drinking caused those symptoms? I've been thinking of giving up strong liquors for a while, a beer twice a week or so doesn't do any harm, right? I also read articles about when your body cannot process alcohol anymore and rejects it.
It's kind of annoying to not being able to enjoy drinking anymore, it's rather an unpleasant experience nowadays! I've seen people calling it a blessing to be able to quit smoking
I also found this from wikipedia:
"Cannabis-derived drugs may be used to treat Crohn's Disease with their anti-inflammatory properties. Cannabis-derived drugs may also help to heal the gut lining."
So it's basically an inflammation of the stomach lining, and I got that from wiki answers:
Q: How often do you get a new stomach lining?
A: The stomach lining is replaced continuously, and it is completely replaced approximately every 6 days.
