Amylase

Amylase

About three month ago, I started feeling unwell and would get unconcious once in a while. I had a blood test done, and the result showed that my amylase level was 95. I repeated the test one week after and it had gone up to 98. Again repeated the test in a month and the level had gone up to 186.
I had an ultrasound done, and the result showed there was nothing wrong with my pancreas.
The Dr. stopped looking for the reason, but I am still suffering from nausea, weekness and get unconcious.
Can you please help me with this. what is the cause of high level of amylase in my case?
Thank you

Go to the ER and tell them to check your pancreas again!!!!  Amylase levels do indicate actue pancretitis.  Do you still have your gallbladder?  They need to admit you to the hospital.  In the meantime, only drink water and clear broths.  The pancreas cannot handle food when it's like this.  Tell them you want them to admit you and find out what's causing this. The pancreas is nothing to play games with!

Good luck and your in my prayers!!!!

I recently had an endoscopy(last week) and the Dr. put me on Prilosec. I didnt really talk to HIM yet, but the results and pictures showed 3 erosions, they took biopsies of, and esophigitus, but I have just been feeling SO horrible, off and on fevers, stomach pain, nausea no appetite, and they just seem to keep shuffling me around! I had my GB removed Aug. 6th, but I've been this way for about 6 months and nothing is getting better. I just get up and drag myself to work everyday! I also have hep c, the interfuron I did 8 yrs ago, did'nt work, I did the combo. my liver is inflamed and my labs are abnormal, but, I don't understand why they won't tell me what the problem IS, instead of giving me more and more things that are wrong! Now, Im getting a bit depressed and sick of complaining all the time. I don't even like people asking how I'm feeling cause I never feel better! Any suggestions? please help!

I do have another scan on the 20th. I'm hoping they can find the reason this time. The only thing the Dr. told me was that, they must have missed something in the scan! as the scan is only as good as the person doing it!
I have not had anything removed from my body (no operations).
However, I did notice some lumps in my body, which after checking them the Dr. said they are swollen lymph nodes. But AGAIN they could not find the reason for it and could not treat it! only said they will dissapear over time (more than a year now, and I still have them).
So I figured they might be related to the high level of my amylase.

Good luck.  Sometimes trying to get a straight answer isn't so easy.  You're in my prayers that they find out what's going on soon!
