Anal Fissure

I am pretty sure that I have an anal fissure from childbirth. My baby is now 12 weeks old. And I have this for far too long. It is excruciating to have a bowel movement. Please, can somebody help me. I have tried zinc oxide cream, I am taking colace 2x day, I am drinking benefiber in my water and it hasn't healed. I am in tears right now because I just can't do this anymore. I plan on contacting a dr. on monday, but I'm hoping that somebody on here has had this and knows some magical cure. PLEASE HELP ME!  =(

So, since nobody posted on here and gave me any answers, except the one person that  messaged me, and I thank you. I will post what is helping me for others who may look at this post for answers. Drinking lots of water, with benefiber added to it. I am applying wheat germ oil, a&d ointment and a&d zinc oxide cream whenever I think about it. Also, sitting in a really hot bath for about 10 minutes after having a bowel movement. (Like a sitz bath) and Miralax, because diarrhea is better than hard. =]

Welcome to the gastroenterology community!  I'm sorry no one replied to your post.  There are so many posts everyday and sometimes one just gets overlooked.  If this happens again, you can just reply to your post with the word "bump" to move it back up to the top of the page so it will hopefully get noticed.

I'm glad you have found something that helps.  I would recommend seeing a gastroenterologist about this, as opposed to your GP because they know a lot more about this type of thing.

I was in a similar predicament few years ago and surgery brought me immediate relieve.
