Antacids & Aggrenox

Can any one here tell me why prescription antacids must be taken two hours instead of one hour before taking blood thinners such as Aggrenox.
I'm 73 years old and on Aggrenox for stroke prevention and have to take antacids because of gastro problems.

Not sure exactly, but my guess would be that the antacids could affect the absorption of your other medications.
