Hi.

I went for a blood test a couple of weeks ago, and my liver enzymes were high.  I was on antibiotics and antidepressents at the time.  I stopped both and had my blood re-tested on Friday, blood tests came back normal.  If it were something serious, would the enzymes go back to normal?  I have had yellowish-brown stool for the last few weeks, could that be from the medications also?  I still have it, even though my liver enzymes are back to normal. If it were liver disease, would the enzymes be normal sometimes, and not others?  I have to go back in two weeks, she just wants to re-check my blood to make sure.

Thank you for any advise.

I heard that antibiotics can cause them to be elevated. I also
heard that antibiotics can cause diarrhea, or at least some of
them can. I have also heard of yeast infections being another
side affect.  Another thing that might have an affect are other
drugs such as tylenol.
