Basically I would like to discuss my left side pain under my ribcage. A brief background of my 2008 was that I collapsed at work 1/31/08 and needed emergency
surgery once again. 14 days later I left the hospital....went to hell and back and finally started feeling better and resumed work in July. It's been a little over a yr and my pains of sharp stabbing on my left side have come back full blast lately. The last 5 days have been a rollercoaster. By the way, after my colonoscopy it was determined that I in fact did not have diverticulosis due to the fact there wasn't one other air pocket throughout my intestinal
The spleen is in this area and could be the causitive agent of your pain. You might check for rebound tenderness. You do this by pushing on the pain to see if it subsides then remove your hand and if the pain worsens significantly, your spleen may be enlarged and you should seek medical attention immediatly. I would actually seek medical attention anyway with your history.I hope you start feeling better soon! Best of luck
