Hello,
My problem is probably quite unusual,in fact I have been treated in a particular way for my appendiceal attack of last month. In fact,I started to feel pain in my RLQ and clinical exam showed all the signs of appendicitis
and in spite of its slightly enlarged size he decided not to remove it as its global aspect didn't look so bad. After surgery he gave me further antibiotic treatment for a couple of days and pain went away.I just think that it would have been easier for me if he had removed it as I know that an appendix that has had issues once can become inflammed in the future.Do you think that I if I get another pain attack I will be able to have this bloody thing out for good by insisting a little bit and directly asking the medical staff to help me get rid of it.I precise that I live in France.
All testimonies and opinions are welcome.
I'm with you, I don't understand WHY the doc didn't remove the appendix. With that said, next time you get a pain there, go to the emergency room and scream. They'll take it out. But chances are, you'll probably be fine, and in fact, don't worry about it no more, since you know what to do if it becomes a problem again. I'm in the States, but I used to live on the Mediterranean near Nice, and also visited Paris and the Normandy beaches whilst there. I will never forget the Mediterranean light, beautiful in all places along the sea, and French food is THE BEST.
