Autoimmune Cholangitis

I'm not finding much info...basically all I know is possible sub-type of autoimmune hepatitis, it's rare, and states unknown cause. I have no symtoms (symptoms), only inconsistant ALK/AST/ALT bloodwork levels for four years, which led to a liver biopsy. I'm female, age 50 (if that matters). Biopsy report says "Preliminary Diagnosis: Chronic Triaditis with focal active and chronic lobular inflammation" and "Final Diagnosis: Consistent with Autiommune Cholangitis (AMA-negative PBC) with moderate fibrosis".  Now what? Of course I have an appointment, but would like other opinions/resources.  "Curable" or not? Prednisone and Imuran the only treatment?  More testing? Any adivse would be greatly appreciated!

I have it, too. It is so rare that it is hard .to find anyone else who has it. My hepatologist has had like 8 patients like me in 20 years. It has afftected my liver enzymes. They go up and down. I take ursodiol, 900 mg per day.  It helps but is more homeopathic.than helps, it is a prescription drug.  Please don't give up on your wuest for info. There's not a lot of it out there but it is nice to know that I'm not the only one
