Iam currently taking 30mg of previcid dailey and 300 mg of
Ranitidine each night.  I just recently started the 300 mg. my doctor said the pathologist my have noticed some change in my barretts.  He does not think so.  I have not had and pain for years. My brother died of esophogus cancer at my age 3 years ago, 41.  With early detection how successful is surgery.  I go in for another scope 10/19/01, 3 months after the last one.

You may want to consider taking Prevacid 30 mg twice a day. You should discuss treatment options with your doctor. There are some newer procedures to freeze the cells of the affected part of the esophagus.
