Barrett's esophagus and enlarged submental nodes
Hi, I have recently been diagnosed with Barrett's esophagus. I have a large soft mass right under my chin. I thought it was fat (some of it is) but it is getting larger. I also have many symptoms of Cushing's disease. My question is...can Barrett's esophagus cause submental lymph node enlargement? I also think I might have a fungal infection in my mouth. If I go to my doctor with all of this she will think I am a hypochondriac. Where to start?

Hi there!

Barrett’s esophagus would not cause enlargement of submental lymphnodes. I would suggest getting this evaluated by a primary care physician initially and depending on the cause diagnosed/ suspected, it can be managed accordingly or specialist care may be sought.
Hope this is helpful.

Take care!
