I know I have IBS...but this pain is something I have never felt before.
Just sat down to eat...had a few mouthfuls of food...started to get a pain in the center of my chest...felt like someone had suddenly kicked me in the ribs
...more than a whole football team combined...or close to it. lol
Went into the basement to cool off, layed back a bit in a reclining position, and started to feel a bit better.
Decided to go back upstairs to get the gaviscon...felt the need to belch again, and brought up some of my supper...ugh.
For the past few months I've had difficulty swallowing
I have had chest pains on and off for years, and normally belching has helped. The "old pains" feel like a bowling ball trying to make it's way from my stomach up my throat...I have to bang on my chest to help it work it's way up...as it gets closer to my mouth the "bowling ball" gets smaller, and by the time it gets to my mouth it is the size of a pin head...then the pain goes away and I am able to breathe again.
I tried several years ago to explain this to my doctor but...he just didn't "get it".
Anyone else go through this?
Looked up "symptoms" a few minutes ago online and Barrett's is the only one that seems close to what I am feeling.
Gallbladder was a close second.
Any info would be greatly appreciated.
