Belching, Flatulance, Pain, etc.

I have anaphylaxis, had an appendectomy (at 18) and also an operation to repair the sphincter and rectum (at 31) from years of allergy induced diahrea.  Since then I was much better (39 now).  At 23 I was hospitalized and not monitored on steroids where an incident of complete distention of my intestines took place.  Since then I have had a lot of trouble with distention but in the last few years much more so.

When I take a hot bath or a hot shower, I begin to burp, which leads to painful belching then resulting in hiccups.  To pass all of the gas feels great, but I am at a loss to determine what is causing all of this.  I have tried many different diets and the only one which seems to have much affect is the Simple Carbohydrate Diet but between anaphylaxis and the diet, I starve.  I do at times have cramping of my esophogus and in the last year am developing reflux.

I am unsure what can be done because I always have a hard swollen stomach which is often painful.  My doctor is excellent, but I feel something somewhere is being missed.  (I take Celexa, however, I cannot see this much problems from the medication)

Any suggestions????

I had gas from Celexa. It works well but I can't be around anyone else. I take prozac now, not as effective but much cheaper because it is generic now. So it might be the Celexa.
