Beverage causing gas & cramps

Can crystal lite and such products with no carbonation cause gas and cramping?  That is mostly what I drink outside of water and maybe 1 diet soda every 2 months.  Can 64 ounces a day cause these problems?  I was fully transplanted 3 years this June!  We called my new liver Fred because my Grandson said if a man lived inside of me he needed a name...hence, Fred.

Yes, it could be causing gas and cramping.  The artificial sweetener in the Crystal lite can cause those symptoms in some people.  Maybe try experimenting by cutting back on the amount that you drink of it and see if it makes any difference.  You may want to actually try cutting it out completely for a couple of weeks first and then gradually add it back in - that might give you a more accurate idea as to whether it's the cause of your problems.

BTW - congrats on Fred's upcoming "birthday"!

could be possible that your body does not agree with the artificial sweetner in it. The main sweetener in Crystal Light is aspartame. Or it might be the dye in it. i cant drink grape drinks of any sort unless it is real grape juice. dont have a problem with any other color. weird huh?
