I am 29yrs old and I jus started having severe stomach pains at the beginning of the year. Nausea, diarhea (diarrhea), bloating, and occassional vomitting. And the pain was absolutely terrible, I would have to make myself sleep just to get past it. It would happen a few times a week at first. I had a series of tests done....ultrasound (found sludge in my gallbladder), colonoscopy and endoscopy (neither of which found anything), CT scan, and a HIDA scan which said my gallbladder had an EF of 13%. For about the past 4 or 5 months I haven't had many symptoms, 2 or 3 times a month at the most and the pain and diarhea (diarrhea) aren't very bad at all. I changed my diet from about February to april probably, but since then have been eating the same stuff i used to and I still havent had many symptoms. My surgeon said he wants to remove my gallbladder, but I am nervous about it because my symptoms aren't that bad anymore...could it be a different problem, or what not. I don't want to have the surgery and have different or worse side affects for the rest of my life if I don't need to. Also, I see people saying that during their HIDA scan they had cramping or the same pains they get from their biliary
dyskenesia...I didn't have that, when they injected the CCK or whatever i felt like i wanted to throw up...just a little sick to my stomach, thats all...no cramping bloating nothing....could this be something else? Thank you for any help....I am at a crossroads and not sure what I should do.
