Bitter taste in mouth

by Sgrehi, Dec 18, 2001 12:00AM
I have a hiatal hernia and I am on medication.  For the past month I have had this terrible bitter taste in my mouth. It has gotten so bad that it feels like my mouth is raw on the inside.  I even have little blisters in my mouth and on my tongue.  I have called the doctor and I am waiting to see him.  I was just wondering if anyone else has experienced this and if so what was the problem?  Thanks

I have exactly the same thing. I don't know if the bitter taste is down to the medication prevacid, or to the backwash of acid. In any case it's a pain in the backside, and worse some days than others. I'm also going to see my doctor again, I'll let you know if I get any good input.
